Just a Beginning
Let me be honest: I don’t really know what to write or how to write. All I know is that writing is a powerful instrument to assemble my thoughts into meaningful constructs and that I like writing.
Let me be honest: I don’t really know what to write or how to write. All I know is that writing is a powerful instrument to assemble my thoughts into meaningful constructs and that I like writing despite it’s a tough process for me.
I was thinking long about positioning for this newsletter, but in the end, I just want to share things on top of mind and to connect with people like me. I’m a tech entrepreneur and aspiring AI researcher studying and building things on my own. You can imagine I’m curious about computer science and business, but I actually have a broad set of aspirations: philosophy of mind, metascience, ethics, probability and decision making, cognitive science, design, math, physics, etc. If you feel curious about one of these, there is a good chance you may be interested in the rest as well. And if you like meaningful discussions on these topics, it’s a straightforward match!
Let’s just explore these things organically, as my mind wanders, or may be you will lead me through. I want to be and encourage you to be an epistemologist in the most natural sense of this word: building the knowledge of this world incrementally as a child does.
This newsletter is intended to be a complementary part of my “big“ blog, siriniok.me, but I’m not sure on what rights. Let’s just see how it goes.
And the last thing: if you are like me—want to write, but not sure how to start, I encourage you to start your own newsletter here and share the link in comments below. I was myself inspired by the wonderful Sam Ritchie’s newsletter The Road to Reality who basically does the same, and I want to continue this Ponzi scheme.
Writing is thinking, and I welcome you to think together.
Stay tuned!—Vlad
